Mr Bear

Pencil and Pastel.  A recent effort for a Brisbane businessman’s wife. I had painted Bear (or as we like to call him, Mr Bear) when he was just a puppy. For the first one I had only used pastel, but as Mr Bear is now nearly thirteen years old and quite distinguished, I thought he could use a little more definition to show those lovely well earned bits of white here and there. Bear really is a fine, well mannered and much loved member of the family. It was lovely to draw him again after all these years and to see how he turned out. He is just as cultured as ever, and he is certainly his own dog!
