Driving with pets can be as dangerous as Texting

Apparently the latest pet peeve is ‘driving under the influence of pets.’ AAA have released a report saying that one third of dog owners that were surveyed have admitted to being distracted when having their dog in the car. Some even allowed their dogs to sit on their lap and roam about the front seat, which is considered a no-no by law enforcement officials.
Drivers often engage in risky behaviour when their pets are in the car. They can become distracted very easily and often look away from the road to attend to their pets needs.
Newzhoundz would tend to agree with some of these statements, although we don’t feel that it is our fault that people aren’t taking their responsibilities to their pets and others seriously.
