$123 million dollar art heist

Paris. A Picasso, a Matisse, and three other paintings were stolen from a Paris Museum in what is believed to be one of the world’s biggest art thefts.  It is believed that the alarm system in the Paris Museum of Modern Art had been broken since March, making it a virtual art thief’s fantasy.  It is believed that the whole theft took a mere fifteen minutes.

It may prove difficult to offload the merchandise however, with Interpol and collectors all over the world on high alert.  Read more…

Post-impressionism from the Musee d’Orsay, featuring 112 works of some of the best known artists of modern art. It includes famous works by van Gogh, Cezanne and Gauguin as well as many others.
This is one of the most spectacular exhibitions to come to Australia.
