Ruby’s pre-winter bits

Monday, March 8th, 2010

I know it’s only early Autumn here in Brisbane, Australia, but now’s the time to start thinking about stocking up on the latest winter woollies for those hardy fur-kids braving the elements in the near future. Personally I think you can’t get enough of the ‘great indoors’ on a warm rug – preferrably bed – to see out the chill.

Spare a thought for our Russian fur-friends who brave the below zero chill. I’ve heard that some are doing it in style however, with the canine fashion trend defying the recent economic crisis. Sumptuous fur coats, day, sports and evening wear are now available from reputable fashion designers for the discerning fur-kid and often matching apparel for Mum too.
It has my vote for ‘pet passion fashion!’ :

2010 Dog Fashion

Friday, February 19th, 2010

2010 is HUGE in dog fashion. Mum is not the only accessory I need for the walk in the park. It’s summer in Brisbane, but it’s a good time to start thinking about stocking up for some special thingies for winter. Just quietly I think I’ve put on some Christmas weight and am in need of some diet, exercise and a bigger harness… Write me and let me know your special diet tips and tricks for the new year.

Ruby’s kitchen tips for an extra treat or three.. sit patiently and fluff yourself up as much as you can for maximum cuteness. Try a whimper to create eye contact while fluffing up and looking cute. If all else fails drop to the floor and flop legs in the air while groaning softly into your whiskers. Guaranteed to get a response, and while not always favourable, has a 65 percent success rate!
